Read Stellaluna

Stellaluna by Janell Cannon (2003), David Bennett Books

Stellaluna is a baby fruit bat who is dramatically separated from her mother. She has some hilarious antics as she is raised with a family of birds, before realising that she is in fact a bat.

This is a story of growing up, friendship and discovery. It will make you laugh, but may also bring a tear to your eye! Read it to find out whether there is a happy ending. The illustrations are beautiful and perfectly complement this magical tale. There are even bat notes following the story to encourage readers to find out more.

What more could you ask for? Suitable for all ages. Even my whippet enjoyed it!
