How to lead a bat walk or give a bat talk for Essex Bat Group
EBG is running a free evening training course for any EBG members interested in learning about how to run a bat walk or give a talk about bats. EBG often gets requests for walks and talks but sometimes have to turn these down because we don’t have enough members to help. This course is designed to teach individuals how to organise and lead walks and give talks and will provide attendees with the knowledge and resources to feel confident in doing so.
The evening includes:
· An example talk on bat biology and ecology
· Ways that you can adapt this talk for different situations and audiences
· A classroom bat detector session
· How to plan and lead a bat walk
· Practical bat detector session
The course will take place at Hanningfield Reservoir Visitor Centre (near Billericay) on Wednesday 19th June at 7.30pm. To book your place please contact Graham Hart: thehart@btinternet.com.
